Frequently Asked Questions About the ARC Review Team

Find clear answers to common questions about joining Tracey Jerald's ARC Review Team and what to expect as a member.
  • Now That You're On the ARC Team, what Are My Responsibilities?

Welcome to the ARC Team! We're thrilled to have you here. As an Advance Reader Copy (ARC) reviewer, your role helps make each Tracey Jerald book launch successful — and your support means the world. Here’s what being on the ARC Team includes:

    1. Read the ARC before release. You’ll receive a pre-publication copy of the book. Your goal is to read it before (or close to) release day so your reviews can help early visibility.
    2. Leave an Honest Review. Please leave a review on any of the following sites, but know that Goodreads is mandatory: Amazon, BookBub, TikTok, IG, and other social media Sites/Blogs
    3. Post Your Review on Release Day (or as close as possible). Release-day reviews boost visibility and credibility. Life OFTEN gets in the way, but please reach out if your review is going to be late. We compltely understand.
    4. Do NOT Share, Forward, or Screenshot ARC Files unless it is with Team Tracey Jerald. ARCs are for your eyes only.
    5. Report any major errors or issues (optional, but appreciated). Just send us a quick email. Depending on when you read, corrections may have to wait until after Amazon (aka, Zon) has released the book, but we will get it fixed.
    6. Keep the storyline, twists, and spoilers confidential. If you REALLY can't write your review without it, ask for help on how to "spoil" in Goodreads. There's actual coding language that supresses spoiler sections for those who don't want to know.

    In Summary

    Your core responsibilities are simple:

    1. Read the ARC.
    2. Leave an honest review.
    3. Do it close to release day.
    4. Keep the files confidential.
    5. Everything else is a bonus.

  • How do I write a "good" review.

Man coding on laptop at a wooden table with two coffee cups and a stack of papers.

First, all reviews are amazing, so thank you in advance. But if what you are asking is how to elevate your reviews, here are a few examples. Be sure to:

    • Honesty is always the priority.
    • Star your review
    • Mention character names
    • Include what you enjoyed (even if it is the scene where the heroine was clocked under the chin by the KitchenAid mixer...)
    • Any tropes or vibes that stood out
    • Why another reader might love it

Also, take a deep breath and relax. There's no need to write an essay — even a few thoughtful sentences help tremendously.

  • What are the benefits of being an ARC reviewer?

Stack of books with glasses on top and below, near a window.
ARC reviewers get early book access, exclusive giveaways, and a chance to connect with Tracey and other passionate readers. It’s a way to influence the romance community and enjoy new stories first.
  • What is the difference between an ARC reviewer and a Content Team Member?

Create and share promotional content related to Tracey Jerald's book in addition to having the opportunity to review them. They spread awareness on social media, generating a hype and a buzz. This is an ideal position for people who love graphics and promotion. If you are interested, apply above.
